Membership of the Day Surgery Benchmarking Group

Benchmarking is a process of measuring the performance, services and processes of a Day Surgery Centre/Hospital against other high-standard Private facilities. The purpose of benchmarking is to identify internal opportunities for improvement. The Philosophy of the Day Surgery Centre Benchmarking Group is “to help each other solve common problems through systematic comparative data collection. Follow-up meetings for participants are held quarterly to discuss findings and share methods for the resolution of problems/issues identified. Networking and education are also key components of membership.

Any below benchmark audit result is also reviewed internally. We may make changes to our practice as a result of the review. The audit will be reattended as per schedule and comparative results evaluated.
