Plastic & Cosmetic

Pittwater Day Surgery boasts experienced plastic and cosmetic surgeons. Plastic surgery is defined as a surgical specialty dedicated to reconstruction of facial and body defects due to birth disorders, trauma, burns and disease. Specifically, the excision of lesions, is a common surgery performed. The following types of lesions can be removed with very little post-operative scarring by our experienced surgeons:

  • BCC (basal cell carcinoma)

  • SCC (squamous cell carcinoma)

  • Melanoma

  • Lentigo maligna and other skin lesions

  • Many of these operations involve various extensive types of flap repairs.

Improving aesthetic appeal, symmetry, and proportion are the key goals within cosmetic surgery. Cosmetic surgery can be performed on all areas of the head, neck, and body. Because the treated areas function properly, cosmetic surgery is elective. Cosmetic surgery is performed by our qualified plastic surgeons. Pittwater Day Surgery is licenced by NSW Health to perform Cosmetic Procedures. Pittwater Day Surgery provides the following procedures:

  • Breast Augmentation / Mastopexy

  • Liposuction

  • Brow Lift

  • Mini Face lift

  • Blephroplasty

  • Otoplastys

  • Other plastic surgery procedures suitable for day surgery

Most patients require General Anaesthetic however other patients can also have their procedures under Local Anaesthetic with or without sedation under certain circumstances. Some patients are prescribed antibiotics and pain relief medication to use once at home.
