As a long-term Northern Beaches resident, I am passionate about building world-class surgical facilities that attract leading surgeons and specialists to serve our local community. Healthcare is, at its core, people caring for people — and being treated locally means more than convenience; it means receiving care in familiar surroundings, from those who understand your community.

Pittwater Day Surgery opened in 2000 as a single-theatre facility, supporting the Northern Beaches and North Shore and performing over 18,000 procedures. As demand grew — driven by population growth and the shift towards dedicated day surgery centres — we expanded and relaunched in 2018 as a multi-theatre, world-class facility.

Working closely with local GPs remains central to our role. Our expanded capacity has enabled more surgeons and specialists to support the community, with 40 surgeons and 35 specialist anaesthetists now practising at Pittwater. As our specialist base grows, so too does the range of procedures we can offer locally.

I am incredibly proud of our team — their expertise, genuine care, and commitment to serving the community. In the first 12 months following our relaunch, we successfully completed over 4,200 procedures.
