My Health Record
Implementation Update: Expected 2027
My Health Record is Australia’s secure digital health record system. It allows patients and authorised healthcare providers to access important health information in one place, which can help support safer and more connected care.
Pittwater Day Surgery’s electronic medical record system is now linked with My Health Record. We are currently putting systems in place to allow relevant procedure information from a patient’s episode of care at Pittwater Day Surgery to be uploaded to My Health Record. This may assist clinicians involved in your ongoing care to see information about the care you received while you were with us.
This process will be opt-out for patients. This means that, once available, procedure information may be uploaded to My Health Record unless you let us know that you do not want this to occur.
Please note that this process is currently opt-in for Specialists. This means procedure information will only be uploaded where your treating Specialist has agreed to participate in this process and has authorised Pittwater Day Surgery to upload information on their behalf.
If you do not want your procedure information uploaded to My Health Record, please let our team know before your procedure.
