Dr Charmaine Chung practices both as a Medical Retina Specialist and General Ophthalmologist.

Dr Lim graduated from medical school with First Class Honours from the University of Sydney.  Subsequently she completed a Masters of Public Health, graduating with Honours following submission of an Ophthalmology-based research treatise. She has authored several research publications.

She undertook her Ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital. This was followed by a sub-specialty fellowship dedicated to the study of retinal diseases at Westmead Hospital with Professor Paul Mitchell.  As a research investigator and clinician, she was involved in the recruitment and active clinical treatment of patients for several large, international research trials directed at finding new treatments for retinal disease.  She has extensive experience in the latest techniques in diagnosis and treatment of Macular Degeneration and Retinal Vascular diseases including Diabetic Retinopathy.
