Dr Jenny Danks is an ophthalmic surgeon. Services provided include general ophthalmic surgery and oculoplastic surgery.
She consults primarily at Peninsula Eye Centre in Dee Why with some sessions at Gordon Eye Surgery.
Dr Danks is appointed at Northern Beaches, Delmar, Royal North Shore and Sydney Eye Hospitals.
After training in ophthalmology at Sydney Eye Hospital, Dr Danks completed oculoplastic fellowship training at Western, Bristol and Moorfield’s Eye Hospitals in the United Kingdom.
She holds Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, RANZCO, and has served in education as Chair NSW Qualification and Education Committee. She is of good standing with ongoing Continuing Professional Development, CPD, delivering lectures, papers, publications and teaching. She stands on the committee of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeons, ANZSOPS, and is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, ASOPRS.
Dr Danks cares for patients requiring cataract surgery, pterygium removal and general ophthalmic problems.
Oculoplastic surgery includes eyelid repair for ptosis, entropion, ectropion, eyelid lesions with reconstruction as well as tear duct surgery, DCR, and treatment orbital disease such as thyroid eye disease.
Dr Danks lives locally on the Northern Beaches and enjoys sailing, swimming and cycling. She plays with the NSW Doctors Orchestra.
